Alana De Roma

 

Alana has been singing, dancing and acting since the age of 3 training at reputable schools such as Brent Street, Mc Donald College School of Performing Arts and Janice Breen Performance Studio.

This experience has seen her perform at many concerts and events, ranging from Michael Jackson’s concert at the SCG to the Prime Minister’s National Treasures concert

Alana starred in her first feature film ‘Amy’ at the tender age of seven, where in 1999 she went on to win the Best Actress Award in both Italy and Canada. She was also nominated in Australia’s Top Ten Best Actress Awards at the People’s Choice Awards along with Nicole Kidman, Toni Collette and Rachael Griffiths. From there Alana appeared on several television shows such as The Midday Show, The Aria Music Awards, The AFI Awards, Today Tonight, Saturday Disney, Carols in the Domain and Cheez TV.

Alana then got offered a recording contract with festival/mushroom records and went on to release the single “Aint no sunshine” and the soundtrack for the movie. She was then contracted with Disney to record “Part of your world” for the re-release of "The Little Mermaid" movie.

Alana’s Theatre experience ranges from productions over the years such as Aladdin in 1996 at the State Theatre and Oliver in 2002 at the lyric theatre. She has also appeared in a few short films and many TV commercials over the years.

Early this year Alana was in LA training with vocal coach John Davies. She was then invited to appear on LA TALK Radio Show where they played her original song "Lovesick".
